Kindergarten News 23 January 2012 The 100th Day of School is Coming Soon! Today is the 88th day of school and the children and I are starting to make plans for our big 100th Day Celebration. Right now, barring any snow days, the 100th Day will fall on Wednesday, February 8, 2012. The children have made some plans, listed below. Everyone has been invited to create a 100th Day Collection for our 100th Day Museum. Children may collect 100 of whatever item they may wish. It is hoped that each child will have a collection to share. Please try to think of a fun way to display your collection, too, such as a 100 paper clip
necklace in a jewelry box. Collections should fit on a standard sized tray (or thereabouts). The entire school comes to visit our 100th Day Museum and it is a very exciting event for the children. At home, be sure that your child counts to 100 accurately. It is often easier to count 10 groups of 10 for many of the children. Start counting now!
Along with the children's 100th Day wishes, I like to have 100 balloons in the classroom. If you are available to help Tuesday afternoon, February 7, at 3 p.m. with blowing up and hanging the balloons, it would be wonderful. The more of us there are, the quicker it will go. I have hand pumps to speed the process!!
If you would like to help with the balloons or one of the children's 100th day wishes, please let me know by completing the form at the end of this newsletter or contacting me at bsmallh@wnesu.net. Thanks!

See the sign-up below for refreshments and juice. Our class now has 18 students. The gym will also be available to us in the afternoon
for playing a few games. It looks like an exciting day! *******************************************************************
