Kindergarten News
14 June 2010
It is amazing to think that there are just two days left of this school year!
I do hope that many of you will be able to join us in the library at 2:15 tomorrow for the end-of-year Kindergarten celebration. There will be a short theatrical performance, the singing of some favorite songs, and the presentation of Kindergarten certificates. Afterwards, please join us in the library for some light refreshments before school is dismissed.
Wednesday, June 16, is the last day of school and the entire school hopes to go to the Saxtons River Recreation area, weather permitting. The plan is to begin the day in our classrooms, eat an early lunch (10:30), walk up to the Rec, swim and play games, and walk back to school in time to be ready for the fifth grade moving up ceremony at 2:15.
The children may bring beach and sand toys, but are responsible for carrying them themselves. Each child will need a towel. You may send sunscreen and we will see that it is applied. Experience has taught me that the Kindergartners all need a COMPLETE CHANGE OF DRY CLOTHES as well, for them to change into after we walk back from the Rec, so they may be comfortable for the fifth grade celebration. Sneakers are a must for walking to the Rec and for playing on the playground.
Even if the weather doesn’t cooperate, we will have a great day! Thank you for sharing your children with me this year!
