WELCOME TO OUR 2011-2012 SCHOOL YEAR!
Our current enrollment is 109 students: 17 kindergartners; 19 1st graders; 17 2nd graders; 18 3rd graders; 22 4th graders; and 16 5th graders. Our year long, all school theme is "Being My Best Me." Vocabulary words that we are all using to support the theme include: responsible, respectful, collaborative and industrious.
Spring events:
1. ) There are many field trips by grade level--check with the individual teacher for more details!
2. ) Last day of school for students--Wednesday, June 13th. During that day we will have our track and field events at the Saxtons River Recreation Center, followed by the Moving Up Ceremony for the 5th graders.
3. ) Last day for teachers, June 15th.

Dear Rockingham School Board Members,
It is after great consideration of the matter that I submit my resignation as the principal of Saxtons River Elementary School for the 2012-2013 school year. It has been a privilege and richly rewarding experience for me to have spent the past 5 years as a Rockingham administrator. The families and staff at Saxtons River Elementary School work together well as a learning community, and I will miss many aspects of my relationships with all of them. But my family needs more of me, and moving to a part time position in the field will fulfill this need and allow me to continue to participate in the field.
I have appreciated all of the support I have received from the Rockingham School Board over the past 5 years. You will be offering to a new principal a school community of which you should all be proud. Thank you.
